DMCA Policy
If you believe content on soralab infringes your copyright, this is how to ask us to remove it — and how to push back if you think a takedown was wrong.
01Overview
soralab respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). We have a procedure to receive notices of claimed infringement and remove or disable access to content that is properly reported.
02Filing a takedown notice
To submit a notice of claimed copyright infringement, send an email to support@soralab.xyz with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice" and include all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (URL, title, registration number if applicable).
- The exact URL(s) on soralab where the infringing material appears.
- Your full name, postal address, phone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may be rejected or take longer to process.
03What happens after we receive a notice
- We review the notice within 3 business days.
- If valid, we remove or disable access to the reported content and notify the user who uploaded it, forwarding a copy of the notice (with your contact details, as required by law).
- Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.
04Filing a counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe the takedown was a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice. Send an email to support@soralab.xyz with the subject line "DMCA Counter-Notice" including:
- Identification of the removed material and its URL.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your full name, address, phone number, email, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We will forward your counter-notice to the original claimant. Unless they file court action against you within 10–14 business days, we may restore the removed content.
05False claims
Both takedown notices and counter-notices that knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing or was removed by mistake may result in legal liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Please be sure of your claims before submitting either.
